At Cantate we pride ourselves on our environmental credentials. We are certified with the ISO 14001:2004 accreditation. We take seriously our duty to prevent pollution and take every step to minimise our contribution to the depletion of natural resources. Our on-going targets to improve and minimise the amount of waste and monitor our energy consumption are at the heart of our environmental strategy.
Cantate are committed to supporting responsible management of the world's forests. We label our products accordingly under the watchful eye of the FSC chain of custody, which provides the traceability of materials used right back to the forests. From here we can observe the management and sustainability of the whole environment; not just the trees but also the impact on the other forms wildlife that depend on the forests for their survival.
Cantate also partners some of the paper merchants to source carbon balanced paper. Calculating the entire carbon value of all of your paper used across a set period can help you offset against your own carbon footprint, enabling you to reach your environmental goals.
Goldsmiths' Catalogue is produced on Arctic Matt paper, with inlays on Curious Metallic Translucent.
The Goldsmiths' Company promotes excellence in the design and craftsmanship of silverware, jewellery and art medals, through advising on and arranging commissions, competitions and exhibitions. A selling exhibition, Goldsmiths' Fair, is held each year in the first week of October, where members of the public can purchase the work of over eighty contemporary designers and craftsmen.
